About

The sports market tape nobody else keeps

ScoreTape is an independent research project. We record what sports prediction markets actually trade on — order-book depth, line movement, the injury report as it stood before tip-off — and join it to what actually happened.

Why we built it

Sports data is sold in silos: odds feeds without markets, score archives without depth, injury reports you have to poll yourself. A prediction-market strategy trades against all of them at once. The expensive part isn't collecting any single feed — it's the join: knowing that this Polymarket moneyline, that DraftKings line, this final score, and that injury report all belong to the same game.

ScoreTape maintains that join as a first-class, verified artifact. Every prediction market is entity-resolved to its real-world game, and the mapping is continuously cross-checked: settled market winners agree with the real result in 99.96% of checked moneylines. The parts that can't be backfilled — depth, line movement, injury timelines — are forward-captured continuously, so the archive only gets more valuable.

How we work

The stack is deliberately small and durable: lightweight collectors, ClickHouse for the hot window, a compact columnar cold archive, and a Rust API. We document what we capture, at what cadence, and how the entity resolution is verified — and we are precise about coverage per league rather than rounding it up in marketing copy.
